Subdividing land is a complicated process.
T
here are various reasons why you might want to subdivide your property. However, there are numerous legal requirements that must be met so that your land rights and ownership are protected.
We recommend that you begin by talking with the Development Officer at the RM of St. François Xavier municipal office. They will be able to help you determine what types of subdivisions are permitted, what conditions may apply and other potential restrictions.
Don’t be afraid to ask questions. The more you know before you apply, the better prepared you will be to complete your subdivision.
