The R.M. of St. François Xavier has a lending library! Consisting of almost 800 titles, the collection is maintained by the St. François Xavier Historical Society and is located in the foyer of the municipal office. Titles cover a broad range of historical topics from most geographical areas of Canada; Indigenous and Métis history; military history; memoirs and biographies; natural history; and others.
Take time to browse the titles. There is no cost and books are borrowed on the honour system – just use the sign-out book found on the shelf. The Society also has stewardship over reference materials which may be of use to researchers, such as a good collection of local municipal history books; archaeological and other scholarly reports; vertical clipping files; and municipal archival documents.
